SCE1011 Christian Education
Theoretical introduction of Christian Education for the fundamental understanding of educational performance in pastoral ministry. This course is divided into three parts, Academic Foundation of Christian Education (theological foundations, foundation of developmental theory, sociological and cultural foundation, and survey of the historical review: understanding the concept and definition of Christian Education and the philosophical foundation of education), Educational Field (church education, family education, school education, and education through media), and Education Curriculum and Methodology (theory of teaching and learning, curriculum, education methodology, instruction development, and education administration).

Acquire basic Hebrew grammar to comprehend the original Old Testament text.
SNT0011 Greek
Acquire Greek grammatical system and basic vocabulary to foster the ability to analyze and understand original New Testament text.
SPT7311-7351 Practicum for Ministry (1-5)
Available every semester for Seminary students to gain church ministry skills and methods, and practical quality improvements needed for pastoral ministry. First year focuses on individual spirituality and character improvement (first semester focusing on training and general overview of Christian formation and second semester focusing on understanding spiritual training program of the local church), second year focuses on understanding ministry field and practical ministry skills, and third year focuses on studying Presbyterian constitution, and practical politics and administration regulations of PCK for the development of church politics and administration skills.
SPT0011-0016 Spiritual Formation (1-6)
Spiritual training for seminary and undergraduate students through weekly Chapel attendance four times a week every semester from Tuesday through Friday.
SGT1102 Introduction to Theology
Introduction and overview of the contents of theology. This course is divided into nine parts, Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, Systematic Theology, Christianity and Culture, Practical Theology, Missiology, Christian Education, and Church Music.
SNT1021 Method of N.T. Exegesis
Interpretation of original New Testament text by using various methodologies of exposition, including investigation of the right meaning, literary form analysis, survey of religious/transmitted/social concept, and understanding the theological content by comprehending the editorial characteristics.
SHT1031 History of the Korean Churches
Korean Church history, including, the East Mission of Nestorians, Korean Mission and Persecution of the Roman Catholic Church, tradition and acceptance of Reformed Church through missionary efforts, response of the Reformed Church to the Japanese imperialism, division in the Reformed Church after the liberation, changes in the Reformed Church theology during the 60s and the 70s, and the Korean Church effort of the Korean reunification.
SST1021 Christology
Survey of many interpretation of Jesus Christ in the past 2,000 years of history to find the most biblical and evangelical understanding of Christ (How did people come to believe Jesus as the Christ when he was born in Bethlehem and raised in Nazareth? Was he simply an ordinary man? Or was he God and man at the same time?).
SST 1031 Pneumatology
Doctrinal study of the Holy Spirit within the relationship of Theology and Christology, and historical study of the Bible through biblical theological perspective, ecclesiological relationship, apparent historical issues, grace, spiritual gift, mystery, and encounters.
SPT1031 Introduction to Homiletics
The function of a prophet is the most important ministry for a pastor in the Protestant Church.
Proclaiming, interpreting and applying the Word of God to the congregation in today's language is a unique ministry that cannot be compared to any other callings. After completing the theory and practice of preaching, students are asked to stand on the pulpit. Basic theory of preaching is reviewed. Students who want to study preaching more from an academic dimension can research specifically and practically through an elective course.
SGT7361 Practicum in Parish Ministry
Field education in church ministry is necessary for the cultivation of holistic pastors. Experience the overall pastoral ministry through a field supervisor at church, through personal experience, selfreflection of pastor's character and life, ministry skills (preaching, worship, education, service, and fellowship), calling of a pastor, ministry philosophy, and leadership.
SCC1013 Christian Ethics
Christian Ethics is to reflect and plan our faithlife according to the God-given revelation. More desirable model of faith-life is sought and attempted by approaching and analyzing specific faith-life through inter-disciplinary research of theology, philosophy and sociology. First half focuses on the characteristics and issues of Christian Ethics. In addition to the fundamentals, more holistic faith-life is sought by examining the overall life of a believer in the area of political ethics, economical ethics, biomedical ethics, work ethics, and ministry ethics.
SST1041 Ecclesiology and Eschatology
Ecclesiology and Eschatology are two very important fields in Dogmatic Theology. Ecclesiology focuses on the purpose of the Church, Church and the Kingdom of God, and the features and the central idea of the Presbyterian Church. Eschatology focuses on death of an individual, condition of an individual after death, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the central idea of the book of Revelation, 1000 year Millennialism, 666, and the resurrection.
SMT5011 Theology of Mission
Theology of Christian Mission is introduced and biblical understanding of mission, development process of mission theology, and major issues in the contemporary mission are presented.
SPT2112 Pastoral Counseling
Issues in the ministry field is presented along with meeting and relationship skills, problem solving skills, methods in crisis mediation, and methods of finding hope in the midst of despair to live a holistically healthy life of salvation.
SGT7371 Practicum in Non-parish Ministry
An organization relevant to the respective calling is selected from a mission organization outside of church or social services organization or NGO. Field education relevant to the ministry calling, supervision of a field supervisor, and practical learning through service all prepare for future ministry in various fields.
